I have a policy recommendation calls for individuals with prior and future drug convictions, in particular marijuana, to be able to receive Financial aid in light of the present initiatives to legalize marijuana among the states. If the government deem it is acceptable to benefit financially from the distribution of marijuana, then why can't those who have been punished through exclusion from higher education because they sold marijuana now use federal funds, which will most likely contribute to its revenue stream, to attend colleges and universities?
