Students Impacting Texas: Higher Education Day of Action

Rising tuition costs, growing student loan debt, and decreasing college access for all students are jeopardizing the economic future of young Texans. 

How do we fix it? Student voices calling for Texas legislators to #InvestInUs. 
Do you want to increase the power of student voices this legislative session?
Ensure that your concerns are heard by joining Students Impacting Texas: Higher Education Day of Action on Monday, February 23, 2015.  
  • Legislative Outreach: 10:30 am  - 2:30 pm
  • Higher Education Rally: 3 pm - 4pm 
 Students from across Texas will gather to amplify their voices on tuition, student debt, and college access issues.  Make sure your voice is heard by:
  • Organizing an Advocacy 101 training on your campus
  • Coordinating a Students Impacting Texas carpool, caravan, or bus to Austin!
    •   If you can get 40 people to commit to attending the Students Impacting Texas: Higher Education Day of Action, we can help with cover transportation expense. 
  • Talking to members of the Texas legislature about your higher education experiences
  • Sharing stories from your campus on #YICare about Texas Higher Education on Social Media

Live in Houston? A bus is already scheduled from Houston to Austin for students to attend the Students Impacting Texas: Higher Education Day of Action.

  • Seat reservation includes transportation and lunch at no cost
